We all love to dream. And everyone has their vision of what their dream kitchen looks like – and even feels like. But making that dream a reality takes insight, knowledge and precise planning; all of it driven by your life, your needs and your ambitions.
That’s where the Kitchens International Design Service comes in. It’s something we’re very proud of. And an approach that, we think, sets us apart. Because it’s not just about a faceless, off-the-peg process; it’s about working very closely with you from day one…
Pre-design
Our pre-design brief meeting is the start – and probably the most important step – on our shared journey towards creating your new kitchen. Once we have been invited to tender, our skilled designers will get to know you, your needs, and your aspirations.
This is about understanding how you use your current kitchen; how, for you, the kitchen space relates to the rest of the home; and perhaps most important of all, how the kitchen fits in with your lifestyle – from simple everyday use to special occasions.
Create
Having taken that deep dive – and how this will inform your new version of it – we set about the creative process in earnest. This is where we use the design planning process to explore options, rule in and rule out, refine specifics, and concretize the core vision.
Here, your input and agreement will be sought – vital, as we want to reach a point where the key decisions on your new kitchen’s aesthetics, design, functionality and finishes have been made together and signed off. Allowing us to go forward to build stage.
Project Managment
Our team of expert designers – having established the core vision and turned into a living, breathing design – will liaise with the project management team to begin the task of making things a reality; sourcing materials, appliances, fixtures and features etc.
We take very much a hands-on approach to this – the project is under constant supervision on a day-to-day basis, with check-ins with you planned into the process. Communication is – and will always be – hugely important to the way we do things.
Delivery
Honesty, clarity and transparency. These are the watchwords for our approach to our delivery service. We aim to avoid surprises of course – and keep everything on schedule. But if there are changes, you’ll be the first to know, and kept informed at all times.
Installation
Once delivery is completed to yours and our satisfaction, we will start planning and overseeing installation. This is never taken lightly. And for obvious reasons. Not just because it’s important to get things just so. This is your home – and it matters to you.
Every detail, every part, every single moment of the installation process will be overseen by our team. Again, with clear communication throughout – from a timing plan to stepped moments throughout the process, to give you confident in the final build.
Aftercare
When your new kitchen is finished and in place, it’s time for you to admire, enjoy and, we hope, even show it off! But the work isn’t over for us. Our aftercare policy means that, should any issues arise, we’ll be there to lending a helping hand, any way we can.
From queries about the features and functions of your new kitchen to any issues or anomalies that may crop up (we pride ourselves on keeping such occurrences to a minimum), the KI Aftercare team is ready to handle anything. At your service, always.
